TOMATO RICE (THAKAALI SAADHAM)

                          I go for this rice whenever I am not intrested in a elaborate cooking.........But you know I really wonder how a simple receipe can give an awesome taste....

INGREDIENTS

ONION-1 Big
Tomato- 2 to 3 medium
basmati rice/rawrice-1  cup
mint leaves- 1 handful
coriander leaves-1 handful
green chilli- 2
curd-1 teaspoon
lime juice-2 tablespoon
salt-as required

For seasoning

Oil-1tablespoon
ghee-1 tablespoon
cinnamon-1
clove-1
annasipoo-1
elaichi-1
jadhipathiri-1
shajeera-1/4teaspoon
fennelseeds-1/4 teaspoon

to grind

garlic GINGER paste- 1 tablespoon
fennel seeds-1/4  teaspoon
mint leaves-few



Preparation

       Take a pan/cooker add the items in seasoning , saute well.after

its done add onions fry it well until it turns golden brown and becomes

one third in quantity.now add half the amount of mint and coriander

leaves saute well until you get good aroma...Now add the tomatoes and

little salt so that it smashes soon.Then add the chilly and grinded

paste and saute well till you get good flavour and oil seperates..Now

add the rice,mint and coriander leaves,limejuice and water for the

rice.Remove from pan/cooker once the rice is cooked.

       WATER MEASUREMENTS.(for most basmati rice)
       for cooker- 1.5 cup of water for  1 cup rice.
       For open pan-2 cup of water for  1 cup rice.
 
    Now awesome tomato rice is ready to eat...
