Aval dosai(Poha dosa)/SET DOSA

Hi Friends,
                  For all those who are longing of spongy dosas, its for you guys,this is a slight modification of regular dosa batter , and i feel it will be awesome with vadacurry.............the dosa will be really soft and fluffy.....

INGREDIENTS
PARBOILED RICE - 1 CUP
URUD DAL-1/4 CUP
AVAL-1/4 CUP

METHY SEEDS-1/2 TEASPOON

Wash the rice and soak in water atleast 5 hrs , maximum 10 hours along with methi seeds.urud dal should be soaked in water only 45 minutes, just before you grind..long time soaking will harden the batter.....Soak the urud dal along with poha(aval").

Since its a dosa batter you can grind all the ingredients together to a slightly coarse paste...it should be of  pouring consistency , not very thick for good dosas....after grinding pour the batter in a vessel mix with salt and leave aside to ferment...for beginners... the batter takes atleast 6 hours to ferment and much longer depending upon the place you are......

                            Today , since sunday we had set dosa with chicken gravy......... :)
