CABBAGE FRY/CABBAGE PORIYAL

CABBAGE FRY
This dish is a very simple dish but very tasty.It goes well with sambar and rasam and curd rice.I prefer it doing a little spicy so you wont get raw flavour of the cabbage.Today my lunch menu was very simple,rasam,curd and cabbage fry.
Cabbage was awesome with piping hot rasam....Do try it and let me know.....






INGREDIENTS
Cabbage-1/4 kg
chilly powder-1 tablespoon
chilly-2
crushed garlic-4
turmeric-1/4 teaspoon
limejuice-1 to 2 tablespoon
salt-as per taste

Seasoning
mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
urad dal-1/2 teaspoon
jeera-1/2 teaspoon
curry leaves-few



Seasoning


Add  turmeric,chilly,salt

Mix, Add little water close,let it boil
Switch off after water drains,add lime juice


PREPARATION
Heat oil in a pan,add items for seasoning....Once it splutters add  crushed garlic.chillies.After sauting add cabbage,turmeric,chilly powder,salt mix and close the pan and leave for a minute.Add little water about 1/4 cup close and let it boil.Once the water drains add lime juice ,switch off the stove, and serve hot.


NOTE
1. Donot add too much water to cabbage it will become soggy.Add about 1/4 cup water , leave only for 2-3 minutes after adding water.the fry should be little crispier for best taste.
2.I forgot to add chilly while seasoning so added after adding cabbage...
