MALLI CHUTNEY


A tasty chutney which I prepare when I get bored of usual chutneys...It goes well with tiffen items and rice too....especially with vegetable kurma...













INGREDIENTS
coriander leaves-1 bunch
ONION-1 MEDIUM or Pearl onion-6
TOMATO-1 MEDIUM
GARLIC-5 PODS
GRAM DAL-1 TABLESPOON
TAMARIND-SMALL PINCH
DRYRED CHILLIES-2 TO 4
SALT-AS REQUIRED
OIL- 2 TABLESPOONS


PREPARATION
Pour  1 teaspoon of oil in a pan.once heated, fry the redchillies keep aside.Add dal saute till colour changes keep aside. Finally add tamarind,saute for a second adding oil and keep aside.Now again add 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add washed pudhina leaves,onion,tomato,garlic saute it well until raw flavour goes....Once the fried ingredients gets warm, grind dal,tamarind,chilly ,add salt and grind everything once and grind rest of ingredients together.Now tasty pudhina thuvaiyal is ready...

Malli chutney is done.
