TOMATO ONION SEMIGRAVY(VENGAYA THAKKALI THOKKU)


           A very easy dish but an awesome combination for rice,idli,dosa,rotis etc...For idli,dosas should be little watery..for rice should be thick and for rotis and pooris should be semisolid....I prepared today for rotis...
   
INGREDIENTS
onion-2 medium
tomato-3 to 4 medium
chilli powder-1 teaspoon
coriander powder-1 teaspoon
turmeric powder-1/4 teapoon
salt-to taste


SEASONING
OIL-2 Tablespoons
mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon
urud dal-1/2 teaspoon
fennel seeds-1/4 teaspoon
green chilli-1

PREPARATION
 add oil in a pan add the items in seasoning.Once it splutters, add the onions and saute it...when it gets cooked add chopped tomatoes and saute well.once smashed and binded with onion add chillipowder,turmeric powder and coriander powder, and keep in medium flame for about 5 minutes.Now vengaya thakkali thokku is ready to eat....
