CRAB PEPPER MASALA/GRAVY(NANDU MILAGU KULAMBU)



     This is a excellent sidedish for idli/dosa varieties and for rice....Also goes well with
rotis...Especially when running out of cold and fever this is an excellent dish....

INGREDIENTS
crab-1/2 kg
Onion-1 medium
tomato-1 small
garlic pods-5 chopped
ginger garlic crushed- 1teaspoon
chilli powder-1/2 teaspoon
coriander powder-1 teaspoon
turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
tamarind thick extract-1 tablespoon
curry leaves-few
salt - to taste
oil-3 tablespoon


for masala paste
pepper-3 tablespoon
garlic-5 pods
one small onion finely chopped


seasoning
ginger garlic crushed- 1teaspoon
curry leaves-few

PREPARATION
  Pour oil in a pan add items given for seasoning.let it splutter.Now add chopped onions,cook

well.once its done add chopped tomatoes add little salt so that it smashes well and binds with

onion together as a paste like consistency..now add the grinded paste and saute well for 2-3

minutes...now add the crab pieces and cook for few minutes , no need to add water as crab as it

cooks leaves water (in 3-4 minutes). As the water oozes out it means crab is cooked now.Add

chilli powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder and mix well for 3-4 minutes in low flame.

.finally add the tamarind extract mix well and keep in low flame for 2 minutes.Switch off the

stove...Delicious crab pepper masala is ready....
