MEDHU VADA |
My mother used to say medhu vada will be best when grinded in a grinder....Thats very true ,since I use mixee so I used to be very careful when grinding , the coarse ground form makes best vadas..So please take care...
Ingredients:
white urad dal-2 cups
onion-1/4cup(chopped,optional)
green chillies , finely chopped-6
grated/chopped ginger-1 tsp
curry leaves-little
2 tsp salt
oil for deep frying
PREPARATION
Soak dal for 1 hour and grind it to a smooth paste adding water little by little to the dough. The dough should neither be little thick not become watery.Heat oil in a kadhai, wet your palms and take some batter and flatten to a round shape.Make a hole at the center with your thumb and slowly slide in the hot oil,and remove it when its slight brown.

fry in medium heat
drain and serve
NOTE
If batter is hard and the batter would be stiff, add little water to batter.
If batter is little watery add little rice/corn flour to it.
The batter if coarse grinded the vadas will be crispier....
