DAL MAKHANI

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Whole black beans
1cup black urad dal
1 tbsp ghee or oil
3 cups of water
 salt as per taste
1 cup fine chopped onion
5 large tomatoes pureed in a blender
2 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tbsp Dry fenugreek leaves / kasoori methi
2 tsp tomato ketchup
2-3 tbsp butter
½ cup cream



PREPARATION
       Boil the dal in cooker up to 4 whistles, with salt and enough water.Now lets start the gravy preparation.Add 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan add jeera after it splutters add  onion saute it. then add chilli powder and mix it for a couple of minutes. then add ginger-garlic paste mix it until you get a nice aroma of the masala(1 or 2 minutes) and then the tomato paste and cook it.now add the tomato ketchup,coriander powder and cook for few minutes. then add the dals boiled , allow the gravy to boil for atleast 10 minutes.Finally add garam masala cook for 3 -4 minutes, finally mix the cream and kasoori methi....
  An awesome sidedish for rotis.....
